Because thoughts & Prayers Ain’t Cutting It!
On December 14, 2012, a disturbed young man with a high-powered rifle entered Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT. At the end of the day, 26 people were dead. 20 were 6 or 7-year-old children. In the face of intolerable horrific grief compounded by threats from evil people who tried to claim the shooting never happened, some of the parents of those 20 children killed formed Sandy Hook Promise—a group to try to end gun violence and to prevent that violence before it happens. Sadly, we all know that the horror of gun violence continues, but as we approach the 10-year anniversary, I want to do what I can to help this group.
This cause is near and dear to my heart - so much so that I'm promising to donate 25% of the sale price on this painting will be devoted to Sandy Hook Promise. Please help me help them continue their good work and thank you!
